Death of John Counterman
Funeral services for John Counterman, conducted by Rev. Wm. S. Potter, will be held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon from his late home, 67 West Hall street. Interment in Oak Hill cemetery. [The Morning Enquirer, Battle Creek, Monday, March 27, 1905, p.5, c.4]

Death of John Counterman
Funeral services for the late John Counterman were conducted by Rev. Wm. S. Potter at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon from the family home, 67 West Hall street. Burial in Oak Hill cemetery.

Besides a host of friends he leaves to mourn his sad demise his wife and seven children, three daughters and four sons, namely; Mesdames Thos. Hewitt, Detroit; John Babcock, Jackson; Wm. Barden, Parma; the sons being Alva, William, Lorenzo and John, of Albion. The services were held under the auspices of Lincoln Circle, of which the deceased was an honored member.
